What these actually train

Your ear, not your memory
Naming a chord on paper and recognising one in a song are different skills. These exercises are for the second one, which is the one that transfers to playing.
In short bursts
Ten questions takes about two minutes. Two minutes a day beats a quarter of an hour on Sunday, and the exercises are built for that.
Without an account
Nothing is stored anywhere but your own browser, so there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to delete later.

Where to start if you are new

If the quiz you saw was over your head, start with Higher or Lower. Two notes, and you say whether the second went up or down. It sounds too easy until you turn on the small distances.

From there, Major or Minor is the one that pays off fastest: one note decides the whole mood of a chord, and once you hear it you hear it everywhere.
